We have all heard the expression "less is more"

How true it is. Especially when it comes to interior design. Restraint is often as important as embellishment in some situations. Take this gorgeous kitchen featured below. The detail of the cabinets, the variation of materials, and the ornate moldings work beautifully together.

BUT, what the heck do you put on the backsplash?

The solution was simple......keep it simple.

There were so many different textures and materials working together we did not want to complicate the issue. We also did not want the backsplash to take away from the elegant acanthus scrolls on the cabinetry.

With these things in mind, we chose to go with a polished marble micro mosaic in a soothing cream tone. It carried the warmth of the cabinets down to the countertops, while creating interest with subtle texture. The result was absolutely perfect.

Welcome to the Tiles by Perfection Blog. It has been quite a year for us. The is never a dull moment in the tile and stone world. When you add the dynamics of our company to that equation, there is never a dull second.

We have expanded our showroom, imported a new exclusive line of beautiful glass tile that is as easy on the eyes as it is on your wallet. We have opened our new state of the art fabrication facility featuring a water jet fusion saw that is out of this world! We announced the opening of The Stone Yard, our remnant yard stocked with hundreds of budget friendly slabs. Our newest endeavor will allow us to create and cut any design into any stone you can imagine. We will be introducing new prototypes into our showroom.
